Tug Games Question
I read some ware that you should not play tug with any dog as it can create dominance issues or even a very unruly dog. In the dogs eyes you are challenging him, is this the case?

Re: Tug Games Question
I've never had a problem playing tug of war with any of my dogsMy current boy, Dempsey, is super-dominant by nature, but I still play tug with him. He usually wins & then brings it back to me to pull again. If I think it's getting too heated I just stop it.

Re: Tug Games Question
I think tug is a great game. The key is being able to stop when you want to. As long as you can end the session on your terms it is great exercise

Re: Tug Games Question
yea i play it with both mine although i can see how it could get out of hand in some dogs. Ty is a very intence dog and never does anything by halves. Although he is fine playing tug with me and hubby i wouldnt let anyone else play it with him......
