Suddenly soiling house...
our 2 1/2 year old baby...Yogi, has never had a problem, even as a puppy with knowing where to go. Just recently he has taken to pooping on one corner of the rug, even after a walk and being in the garden most of the day. Yes its usually when hes home alone But literally i can pop to my freinds for 5 come back and ....ooohhhhh no....he has even did it when I am in shower, Nothing bad or unsettling has happened as far as I am aware and generally he is a more or less perfect dog x

Re: Suddenly soiling house...
It's very unusual for a previously well house trained dog to start messing in the house with no reason to. Perhaps there is an odd smell or something attracting him to it? Is he happy when you leave him alone?

Re: Suddenly soiling house...
Even when you think the area is clean and not smelly, the dog can sometimes still smell it. I have been told that the best products to use to eliminate the odours are vinegar or Bio-Zett Laundry Powder. Are you able to clean the corner of the rug safely with one of these products ?
It might be worth a try
