More toilet talk Empty More toilet talk

Chloe has been a little treasure going to the toilet outside, however, it's only when I take her out - she does still have the odd accident if I don't quite catch her on time.

The past couple of days, she seems to just do her business anywhere. She isn't acknowledging the back door plus toilets outside = a treat. She's even started wee's in her cage now!

Obviously we are taking her outside regularly, however she's being quite stubborn Blushing

Could we be doing something wrong??

It vital you clean up really well after any accidents and use a special cleaner to get rid of the small, otherwise even though you carnt smell anything they can and alot of normal cleaners even have amonia in which encourages them to go toilet there.

Try and catch them in the act, say no pick them up take them out.

As you say take them out very regular, before eating after eaqting, after playing, after they wake up from sleep and every hour.

When you take them out say a word like wee wee's or toilet time ect always use it, always give lots of praise for doing it outside.

This pretty much sums up where we are with Tia!

Nice to see everyone goes through the same.

yes it's good to associate them going to the loo with a word...sometimes when the boys have been inside for a while I say "Who wants to do widdles?" and quite often they will both go to the back door ...

OMG everyone, today is the first day she went outside, without me saying 'come on for toilets' I'm so made up. No accidents while i've been in charge for a couple of days (except overnight), however, while Mr S was on phon she did a sneaky wee!!

I've been saying a firm NO if needed . . Fingers crossed Smile x

just reminds me when Winston was baby.. I put newspaper in the bathroom and he would widdle or poo on it if I didn't put him out early enough in the mornings.. one time I got up and as I went to get him I saw him on the paper all hunched over about to do a poo..but his bottom was facing off the newspaper!! How could I be mad at that?? And yes it was a big runny one!
