Does anyone know if gravy is ok for staffys?

I saw some dog gravy in pets at home, it was £1 for not a lot, and looking at the ingredients it didn't seem any different from human gravy.

Anyone know if human gravy is ok for dogs? I was thinking about pouring it over his biscuits, as he sometimes seems to lose interest in them.

Any advice or experience appreciated Big Grin

Thats a cool idea. I might try that. I was thinking about something i could make say, a weeks worth of, and keep refrigerated for day to day use. but i dont think human gravy will suit that job.

I read the gravy packet and it said it has onion extract, with i think i read is bad for dogs. also a lot of salt.

I read chicken or beef broth was a good equivalent and suitable to use daily.

He just seems to get bored of his biscuits, will have a few and turn his nose up at them.

Yer i read the ingredients, it seemed like it was basically human gravy minus the salt and onion extract.

Chase just gets bored of his food very quickly, so um tryin to find a couple of ways to change it up a bit for him.

I always zap Jethro's food in the microwave for about 30 seconds, and just make it a bit warm..he loves it ( not his dry biscuits though!! Laughing )

Yer i read that the salt is the problem.

Ive been looking for a similar dog friendly alternative, but no luck as of yet.

speaking of salt it is amazing how WE get so used to it.

I got some baked beans with no added salt and they tasted like nothing!! Absolutely tasteless. Must be so used to the half a ton of salt they must put in it normally. We couldn't eat them till we put some salt on them..won't be getting them again!!

I really can't see the problem using gravy. Just really water it down Smile
