Saxon's First Day - Pictures Added!!

I wasn't planning on bringing Saxon to work today because he was sick the other day, but the boyfriend really wanted me to because he felt that Saxon is alone too often. So I took him with me. He did really well for his first day!

Behind the registers they have two weights that you can tether the dog to. Saxon just pulled them to where he wanted them to be, they didn't even slow him down. So I put his Easy Walker harness on and tethered him and that worked perfectly (I know, I'm so clever). He mostly just chewed on his Bully Stick or pulled stuffing out of a little toy, but when he noticed that I was gone or saw a dog he wanted to play with he made his hyena sounds. Which everyone thought were hilarious.

He made a lot of friends and showed off his awesome manners, didn't jump up on anyone. Though he wouldn't show off his play dead trick because it's his newest trick he was too excited about his surroundings.

He had a big day and was a good boy! Right now he is snoozing contentedly at my feet. Sorry, no pictures, I didn't bring my camera, I'll try to do it next time.

P.S. He pooped twice (outside) and his poop was normal color and consistency.

He did very well, impressed a lot of people! No one seems to be able to get his name right on their first try, though. "Jackson? Sampson? Zaxxon? Like Z-a-x-x-o-n?" "No, Saxon. S-A-X-O-N, it's a family name*."



*That's what I tell people when I don't feel like saying that my deceased grandfather gave me the name in a dream.

I took Mambo to the office with me twice this week, there was a gardener outside who saw me walking in and then out for a lunchtime walk and he just shouted after us 'I hope he earned his money' !

P.S. I tried to take a video of his hyena sounds at work, but I guess it didn't go through or something because it won't replay on my phone and it won't upload to youtube. I'll have to try again next week. It's the funniest sound ever like a whimper with a purr and laugh all rolled into one.

I get a Staff discount and Saxon gets a Staffy discount (hehe)! Most of my cheque so far have gone to Dog food, treats, toys and harnesses. Haha, so it may as well be Saxon buying the stuff!!

What a handsome dog. Your so lucky you can bring him to work. I've dropped hints to my boss about bringing my dog to the office (hes a dog lover) but to no avail.
I'll have to encourage him to get his own dog and maybe he'll change his mind!
