Puppy biting with other dogs.

I have a 12 week old boy - Hugo.

He’s amazing.

When he is playing with other dogs, he has a tendency to bite the dog he is playing with. He’ll bite their ears or just clamp onto their fur.

A lot of dogs don’t seem to be bothered whatsoever and keep playing with him. Occasionally, the other dog seems to want to get away. Sometimes the other owner will want to pick their dog up.

Is this normal? Is it a phase he will pass through?

I had the same problem with baby Opium, she would go for Nifty’s ears, neck or cheeks. I guess it’s a puppy thing but I did draw the line to ears - no grabbing onto ears !

Did she grow out of it?

Yes and no … she’ll still try it on with Nifty but never with other dogs
