Under the weather

We're supposed to be in the final day of the heatwave here, had temperatures over 30°C for over a week now.

Last night, I noticed Opium wasn't her usual self and this was confirmed this morning as she vomited her breakfast
I open up and air the house every morning but internal temperature is 25°C inside (for 33+°C outside). The girls only really go out for toilet breaks and we try to retreat into the house the rest of the time.

She's drinking so I don't think she's dehydrated.
I hope she's just hot and uncomfortable, it should improve as from tomorrow.

No (not yet in any case )
I'm leaving work early today and I'll call the vet if she still isn't right

How is she now? We have just had toilet breaks here but Katy is still eating well. She was quite stressed last night because of the heat supposed to be going down to 29 tomorrow so that might help We have a cool pad & paddling pool but she's not using either

At lunchtime, OH turned on the air co in the next room and put ventilators to guide cool air.
She was happy to see me when I got home in the afternoon, hungry too.

I don’t know if it was indigestion after having eaten something she shouldn’t (I had also given her a probiotic yesterday morning) or just fed up of the heat.
In any case, back to her usual self

Yeah heat is definitely annoying us all, Luna lives her walks but she’s just not able for more than 15 mins or so atm... it’s not even that hot here it’s just extremely humid it’s just like dead heat
