Heartbroken

I had to make that heartbreaking decision today(friday 13th) to have my best mate Shearer put to sleep today. He was his usual fun-loving ever active self right up to thursday when all of a sudden he started staggering, his back legs started giving in, his back  became haunched and his head dropped when he walked..........today he could not stand up without me holding him upright and his stare became vacant / distant for long periods and amongst other things he wouldnt eat or drink.

At 13:30 this afternoon i held his head close to mine as he passed on .

R.I.P SHEARER  i am already missing you so much and i am gonna miss the way you always stopped 2 stairs up and turned to me, waiting for me to say "go on up up" and miss you being there standing at the top of the stairs waiting for me to come home from work knowing that it was straight for a good run.
You will be forever in my mind and my heart old friend. It has bin a pleasure to have had your companionship for the last 13 years.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss of Shearer It's a horrible decision to make but you made the right choice for your beautiful boy & he thanks you for it. You gave him a wonderful life & you will have wonderful memories to savour. He will always be in your heart.
