Hi everyone - few more shots of PJ - absolutely amazing girl!

She's stolen our hearts and feels like she's been with us for ages - so intelligent and naughty too.

yeah bud they never apart can get a bit rowdy at times but great fun i am looking for another one to complete the set

Spot on - you had since pups? I’ve only the one at the moment with no plans to increase the family - this is the first time the me and the missus have had a dog ‘together’.. so letting things bed in

yeah got them both as pups only 12 weeks between them had staffies for 35 years+ had other breeds also but staffys are the best got to go bud diesel up for his booster shots catch you later keep those photos coming

Cool, yeah similar here - had all bull breeds since the age of 17/18 - last one I lost last year in April, Ambull who was the best ever, nearly 16.

Do you get yearly boosters? I’m a tad mixed on it - never have my dogs anything after their first set - my old vet used to agree too - putting viruses into the dogs body every year could harm their immune system?

Before the opinions fly in about this one, and I’m sure it’s been broached before, I’m NO biological expert and my dogs were all fit and very healthy. Hardly any visits to the vet other than accidents or at the end of life...

My friend doesn't vacc her dogs between 2 & 7 as the vet said they don't really need it! Personal opinion I guess

Yeah I get that, everyone does what they deem best for their dogs at the end of the day.

We’re border-hopping all the time so no choice really.

Of course, never done that before as had too many dogs at one time lol

With PJ we'd deffo like to take her on hols with us to mainland Europe - would you say it's best to get the pet passport a little later on - 1yr-18months?

If you want to cross the Channel (and travel back over again), you have to be careful about vaccinations and especially the rabies one which is not only compulsory but it has to have created a certain immunity in your dog a certain time before travel.

I had a passport made immediately for Opium when I took over the puppy vaccination series after her acquisition.
If you’re sure you want foreign adventures, I’d do the relevant vaccination as soon as possible.

Ok thank you for the heads up - if we get the passport made is it an annual thing I guess? I'll google or do DEFRA..?

I won't be taking PJ anywhere for a month or three, just like to be prepared, with the rabies immunity having to be at a certain level - which makes perfect sense - it may not be possible to go on any trips so soon anyway...

i vacinate mine because of parvo the people around me swap and change dogs for fun so god knows what they have

MartP -> I’ve started another thread regarding pet travel and brexit. They recommend to prepare at least 4 months before travel !

Always try, as best as I can haha, to keep her a little restrained as worried about her damaging joints, feet etc! She is a typical Stafford when it comes  to jumping... x

Hey, yes - last I heard (about 3 weeks ago since I spoke with the family) she'd gone to a nice/good home...

Whilst I think I made the right decision - very much with the wise words from this board thank you - I have also started looking at maybe a sister or brother for PJ... Will keep you posted, not going to be an instant thing x

I used to have a couple of these Boomers a few years back, Reilly my brindle Stafford used to go mental for them - god rest his soul - bloody noise he used to make on the patio and decking etc... Will try and dig out some pics if I can - few from today with PJ - 1st looks a little like she's had another head super imposed onto her body haha!
