It does so look like hes guarding and it might seem okay and innocent but be on your guard as he could become possesive and maybe start to snatch at you Smile

I'm sorry but I really dont think that was just play, or, if it was, it won't stay as play for long. He was growling, he had his teeth bared and he was licking his lips constantly. He looked like a VERY uncomfortable dog that was seriously guarding his toy. I really do think that could become a problem for you in the future.

Looking at your dog's body language, I'm 99% sure that he isn't playing, he's resource guarding. If you allow that to carry on, it will become possession aggressive - a very dangerous thing for such a powerful breed.
