Anyone know what this is?

Post by Paris1990 on Sun Oct 22 2017, 20:49

Noticed this on one of Hank’s rear legs the other day, I first suspected it to be a wart but it’s been changing and seemed to hurt hank a little when we were inspecting it last night. It has gone smaller today but more red in colour.

hard to say - could be a skin tag, except you say it's got smaller?

Yeah, it was bigger during the week and today after we had been looking at it last night it looks like it got smaller and the skin is dryer on it.. he’s got a couple of warts on his face so just thought it was one of those but they are all normal skin colour under his fur and have fur on them and not as red so that’s why I have no idea what this is.

Katy has one on her side, looks like another nipple! Most of the time it's quite small but then it gets itchy & she will scratch it til it bleeds Surprised

I assuming he cant reach it or it isn't bothering him as I haven't seen him trying to get at it or it bleeding or anything so just going to keep an eye on it for any drastic changes.

Dogs can reach some bizarre places! Lexi had something similar on her toe once, the vet said nothing to worry about. She then licked it to the point of it blistering and eventually left it alone. It went away on its own.
