House mate is jealous of the dog!

As per the title they are jealous of the dog and want me and the dog gone(we come together, pity they wont appreciate that).I've never lived on my own and I'm getting really stressed.

The main problem is I'm on a low income at the moment and have no readily available transport.

I'm so worried about the dog.

If anyone can give me some information I'd be extremely grateful.
Also I need to add I have no tenants rights because I pay cash in hand.

Do they want you out? If so is there somewhere Tilly can go, friend/family whilst you sort things out? Can it be something you can work through? Did you and Tilly move in as a pair and if so why a change of heart? Sorry so many questions, I can understand it must be very difficult, but there is usually a solution Xx

There a cat person tbh.

They are jealous of:The time spent with the dog, her having a raw diet(because it's gross)
They think that the dog is dirty.
That the dog sleeps at the bedside sometimes.
Even that I use this forum.

I had to fight to have the dog cage as it takes up so much room .

The hard thing is we were the best of friends but things keep coming to a head.

As for renting private I'm not sure I could get one quickly or even afford it to be honest.
There's a housing shortage in the area.

Well because of the dog and me not willing to make her a second class citizen, yes.I've been told it's only a dog.

No family in the uk I'm afraid.I do have a friend but would feel bad pressuring them into looking after the dog.Tilly even gets stressed If I use the loo as well lol.

We did not move in as a pair.Bit I asked about me getting a dog and they were all for it and even helped in the choosing of the pup.They did love her but they have become increasingly jealous in the last four of five months of me having the dog.Thinking of it I was even told that the sack of dog food was taking up too much room.

I'm working but on a low income.

i would get on the phone tomoz to a few people and see what they can do for you like citizen advice centre or welfare rights

Nope.

So what are your options? Surely they wouldn't have agreed in the first place and then see you both homeless or you loosing tilly? Xx

I no this may seem like a daft question but have you tried sitting down with your housemate and discussing all the problems?? Is there someone who could speak to them for you?

We had massive fisticuffs, but in the end we resolved things.So I've a home again.

Pleased you managed to talk it over!

I know things are sorted now but on the quiet maybe you can keep a look out so atleast then you have a back up. It maybe hard but finding a place outside of where you are where there are more property available may be easier might be better for you, you never know it maybe perfect, ground floor flat a little garden etc. Just keep a look out as you never know.
