Embarrassing Moment

Took Dempsey for his walk this morning to the usual park. Met several people, all of whom know us & put their dogs on lead when they get close (so do I).

On the way back I saw a lady with a working line Cocker Spaniel that Dempsey normally gets on well with. I was about to let him off lead when I noticed that her dog was on lead - a real rarity. She was also wagving her arms madly & shaking her head at me.

I kept Dempsey on lead & when we got close enough to talk, she said that her dog was on heat & although she usually only takes her out at quiet times when she's in season, today she got delayed so it was a bit difficult.

Now as you know, Dempsey isn't neutered, so I was keeping a good eye on him all the time, but apart from sniffing the air & wagging his tail he was fine.

The lady went on her way & I tried to move off with Dempsey, but he wouldn't budge. He was standing still, panting & all hunched up.

He'd had an 'episode' (as my daughter calls it) and was just standing there with the most enormous erection I've ever seen in a dog, with people passing by just laughing their heads off!

It took nearly 10 minutes for him to get back to normal enough for me to get home.

You could say that, Janey! He does this every so often at home, normally when he's just woken up & he's pleased to see us! But it's the first time he's done it outside!

It isn't just that he 'let's it all hang out' like dogs do, it's far worse than that!

LMAO, I would have wanted to ground to open up and swallow me!! hahaha!!!

Why are there always loads of people around when you don't want there to be?

lmao!! This really made me chuckle!! We had an embaressing moment when we got Ty out of the car at the vets the day he was being castrated. He jumped out and gave a big shake covering a passer by in you no what! It was everywhere all over the blanket in his crate dripping off his "bits" he had been getting friendly with his toy. My hubby was pleased though and said he couldnt of picked a better moment! x

I've never had a male do this before - humping & getting their 'lipstick' out, yes, but not this. Normally it's confined to indoors, but he just know how to embarrass!
