Howling

Hi, after my son and he's girlfriend left for work last night my Ted started howling like the wind, I gave him a cuddle and thought no more of it. Then once again this morning, after he's walk, he jumped onto my lap and started howling again, my son is home and in the house as well. Anybody know the reason for this please...

Sounds like separation anxiety to me.

Hi thanks for your replies, just read the article, this could be the cause, just seems strange as Ted is 9 and never howled before. I have just returned from a two week holiday and my Sons girlfriend has been staying but she has gone home now, so I guess he could be pining. Will just give him lots more cuddles and plenty of reassurance. Thanks x

Aww they do miss people, maybe if it continues a quick checkover at vets to rule out any underlying probs xx
