Laska night run Checkendon challenge

Laska's first solo ride, I was running Marley in the day races so this was a bonus to run her. Was the chekendon Challenge night ride for charity. so flipping proud of her she ran her heart out and was really great at trail following and directions. she usually has marley as lead dog but this course is to tight for two dog. As soon as she realised I had chosen her to ride she was fussing me up all the way to the start line bless her. she was really going mental jumping up and licking me and wagging her bottom off, you can hear her excited squeals on the start line   that dog melts me sometimes.

Im so proud of her mate its unreal! she was a lil star and weighing in at only 19.5 kg she put in a very good effort at pulling. so strong bless her, lots of treats when we got home

My phone doesnt see the videos here for some reason i just looked it up on you tube. The course looked very difficult and very narrow, and.seems scary at night we still love you too marley

Wow, brillant, fab, well done Laska. The speed you were both doing at times too. Those lights the other way must have fooled you sometimes??
And Laska only 19.5Kg, for her to do that is just fab. I really enjoyed watching the footage. Well done you both. And Night time too

aww thanks the comments are most welcome. she is my special baby and if you could have seen her when she realised i was running her solo.. she melted me bless her. jumped me and wagged her bottom off then walked to the start line tail held up high in a "look at me" pose then the excited squeaks she ran her heart out to prove she had it in her and im so in love with that girl right now. what you cant see on cam is that she nearly busted the harness with her pulling. tough lil girly girl. staffy power!

Ian its actualy easier at night, they trail blaze so much more. I wasnt using my light and was just following laska (leap of faith) but she came through for me. the following day I got the lines tangled for over 1 min 30 sec, so frustrating and fell off three times mashing my legs up. all good fun though, just have to know when your beat and coast over the line. still came fourth though which isnt so bad. two races left in the season to bump my points up. just hope luck shines on my side next time
