URGENT!

Jett just picked up a bit of onion and is now at the bottom of the garden trying to be sick.I went to take his collar off so he could get it up and he went for me.should i be worried about the onion or not?!?!?!

No, I think you'll be ok, is he still wreching?? Make sure he has water silly bugger! I'd like to say he won't do that in a hurry but that would be a lie!

he should be okay....he won't go near onion again I bet ! At his age he will pick up and eat anything.. I know I am always prising things out Winston's mouth ! They keep us on our toes don't they !!

Did he swallow the onion or is it stuck in his throat?

i am sure he will be fine as long as he does not eat another one, but i am sure he has learned his lesson

oh bless him!!! .. first time vinnie choked (eating his bone to fast) he scared himself so much!!! .. i threw it up thankfully! and i made him drink loadsa water and he sat next to me for ages like lol .. never given him that kinda bone again! lol.

Glad to hear he is okay. I worry about choking as well since Suki is a fast eater. I've started to throw a tennis ball in her bowl at meal times so that she will have to eat a little slower.

thanks guys Don't think it's anything to do with the onion because he's been fine since then but last night he wouldn't go out and this morning he hasn't touched his food or drank much water.he's been sick once and has passed blood about 8 times. Off to the vets we go....AGAIN!

Raw onions are toxic to dogs, but if he has vomited it back up I wouldnt think that it has much to do with the onion.

glad the onoin thing is sorted but let us know how you get on at the vet passing blood doesnt sound good I hope it all works out ok for you both.

Poor little guy, he might have a urinary tract infection. I'm sure he'll be fine.

hope Jett is okay now ! How did he go at the vets??

The vet wasn't sure what it was so he gave him some antibiotics.He's got better throughout the day and is passing less blood everytime he goes to the loo. fingers crossed.

hope every thing is ok, what a worry..........got all this to come we will be bringing Parker home on Friday; I prob sit up all night making sure he's still breathing! lol

@Kentish Lady That's what i was like the first two weeks with Jett.he's a swine always picking things up and trying to eat it,got to have eyes in the back of ur head.
