Staffy Foster Mummy

Hi Folks

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU - this site has been invaluable to me.

I am a volunteer cat and dog fosterer for a charity - we foster animals out of homeless, domestic abuse and emergency illness situations (social work deal with the children, we take on the animals). I haven't fostered a staffy before and this site is an amazing font of info and knowledge for us newbies. My first foster was a Rottweiller and their site/forum/FB page was equally fabulous and makes my life so much easier when I've no idea what wee beauty will come through my door next. I've been a cat and dog owner for years but never had pure breeds.

Anyway, thank you so much.

PS when I'm in a position to have a dog(s) full time myself, a staffy and a rottie are what I'll be getting - they are just brilliant.

Staffies are just awesome and I'd never have considered one before fostering. Holy crap what an amazing breed I'd have been missing out on :-)

Cheeky and clever indeed. Layla's mad half hours are awesome - until reading this site I thought she'd suddenly had a stroke!! She is hilarious :-)

Zoomies?!?!?!?! OMG - I thought she had suddenly taken ill cos it just suddenly happened - I'm guessing that's cos she is getting used to me and can let her hair down but I won't lie to you, I thought I had a schizo dog on my hands for a split second. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen and can't wait to catch it on video :-)

Yes I do it through Pet Fostering Service Scotland. I've had a Rottweiler, a Chihuahua and 8 cats so far (and the wee Staffy of course) :-)

We have those so often in the week. I have often had to sit out the way on the kitchen work tops or just sit with legs out the way whereever it happens.
