Hi all my Staffy (Shady) had 6 puppies 4 years ago ,yesterday we bought a small bearlike squeekie toy ,now she seems to think it is one of the puppies by bathing it and carrying it around whole day today.not even eating but acting the same as with the puppies. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Hi Marizette, I moved your post as nobody would have seen it where it was.

I've not experienced this but others might have.

Sounds like a phantom pregnancy to me, Katy had 1 after her 1st season. She was quite upset by it, hers was a ball that she carried round everywhere with her she even tried to nurse it. Sad

yes it does sound like a phantom to me,sash did the same when she used to have them, its very sad to see and disdressing for them,a vet will give you some hormone meds for her which will make her snap out of it within a couple of days, lots of walks and things to take her mind of it will help

It does. They had a dog on Battersea recently (PoG) that collected a whole pile of stuffed toys in her bed and one by one they removed them.
She was fine afterwards.
