some bloody idiot is letting off fireworks,i was'nt prepared for them at all,now sash is a shaking wreck,tried putting her thunder shirt on but she's just not having any of it,she was'nt this bad over firework season but i guess we knew they were coming then,so bloody angry

Poor Sash, Ledger has been a wreck this year, luckily I found out they were setting them off in town for the Xmas light switch on Thursday so had to skip training to stay home, damn things were also going off last night only one or two but damn loud!

I thought someone was letting off fireworks twice last week, a huge succession of bangs each lasting ten minutes seeming to come from at least a mile away (it's all rural round here so either woods or the fells). Thing is they were both in the daytime, one in the morning and the other in the early afternoon. Then I heard an audio of those explosions that are meant to have closed the A1 the other day and the noises I heard were exactly the same. The A1 is 100 miles away though, and these were a different time. Maybe there is just a bunch of morons going round the country setting off bangers, who knows?

Try turning you telly up or putting some music on and try to behave as though it isn't bothering you and hopefully it'll help to desensitise her. I find it works with Stanley and he just ignores it. His weakness is Mr Postie aka breakfast on legs.

ahh thanks for that tip Ian,unfortunately its an on going thing and not a lot helps,especially when your not expecting them

Maybe a local neighbourhood watch group could do something about it in the area or at least limit their sale up to the day itself, it's supposed to be the 5th of November not any old time.
