Hi there, I'm Sharon-Anne and I have a staffy called OZ and no I've not named him after Ozzy Osborne :-)
He is about 9 months old (haha teenager times are in), when training he is way too motivated in getting his treats, so he is doing the tricks before I even command him to do so. I have tried reward base training not just with treats but also with toy's but have'n been succesful so back to using treats for now. I guess I am a little concerned to whether he will listen in the near future when I give him a command?!

Hi from me and my two its good that he is food motivated as it can be an easier way with distraction training and recall. if he is anticipating commands just add some fun and give him an alternate one to what he has just done. sound like he has a great drive to please though which is fantastic

Welcome from Bane and I! Oh what I would do for a dog that would do anything for food! If you think he is relying on them too much, try varying the amount of commands he has to do before he gets a treat, or mix up your training sessions a bit!
