What do I need ?

Hi everyone this is my first post so apologies if this question has been asked before . My family are hopefully in the final stages of rehoming a puppy from woodgreen and he is around 8 weeks old and we really want to make the transition to our home as smooth as possible. This will be our first dog and i have two young children aged 8 & 6 So I was wondering if there is any advice or equipment such as Cages toy's etc  that people would recommend. Many thanks steve

I moved your post to introductions so that others can say Hi.
As far as getting things in for your new arrival, it will depend on how you want him in the home. A lot of people use crates, though I don't.

As for toys, this is kinda trial and error. Some people swear by Kongs but my girl shows no interest. Squeaky toys are normally a favourite as are rope toys to chew and tug on.

I'm sure that people will offer better advice than me, it's been a long time since I had a puppy

Hiya from me and Vinnie, I crated from day one and found it a godsend, but it is down to personal choice. Toys tug ropes are good as I think I can vouch for most staffs its one of their fave games. Hope all goes well and will look foward to pics

hia from me and sasha ,as said already depends on if you want to crate train,i did;nt with sash thou i wish i had as she was a very chewy pup and we lost carpets,wooden table legs,wall paper and other things too,lesson learnt ,if we ever got another pup i definitely would all down to personal preference .
