Finding it hard for my collie to bond with my Staffie puppy!!!

anyone know any tips on bonding a 8 yr old collie,with my 13 week old male Staffie? They seemed to be getting on really well/but my male collie is a big growly if the puppy goes up to him to play? But then when I take them out,they walk next to each other no probs!!!

Pup needs to learn his place and probably your collie is just making sure he understands this. Not unusual for an older dog to do this. He should accept the pup in time, but do make sure that he can be away from the pup if he wants.

Dont worry, the collie is just saying hes the boss

Were the two dogs introduced initially on neutral ground ? if so how many times did they meet each other before your bought the puppy home ?
