Star Birthday

Post by peppa Fri Oct 24 2014, 14:42

Peppa 1st b-day is coming! 28/10 I can't believe how fast time goes. I got her a new fur toy , a bone and lots of tripe and planning on making a liver cake. What else can I give her? Another chew?
I'm planning on giving her good few hours on a tree that's what she likes most nowadays hope we don't get nicked or fine as she's an obsessive gardener .
what do you give a dog that has everything?
Maybe a new rain coat. Any recommendations?

She has a new collar but we lost one of her leads (I left it on her in Hyde park in case I need to pull her of the tree ) I do have other two . But maybe a new set or a stag bone.
Anybody has link for a proper rain coat??

Awesome presents to far - have you thought about getting her a flirt pole? With the new laws coming in, seeing a staffie hanging off a tree in a public place probably isn't going to do either of you any favours, I'd imagine it would be classed as destruction of public property? Flirt poles are amazing - I bought a horse lunge whip and tied a toy to the end of it!

Rach I agree and she attracts so much attention last time she jumped on a tree she gathered 30 people crowd. Taking photos and videos .The problem is she's jumping on the tree herself and one she's on she don't hear or see nothing! she's totally at it and wont let go .I just put her on the lead and take her home if she don't listen but it's a mission making her let go. Flirt pole is not a bad idea but
I doubt it'll replace the tree tugging. Any advice?

Hm.. Not good. I'd avoid and give her another outlet, do you have a garden? My dad used to hang big ropes from a bar and they dogs would jump up and grab hold/swing around - basically a spring pole.

My last foster had been put onto sticks/trees by his previous owner and got really obsessed. I tried to get him off one and he redirected and grabbed hold of my leg, I still have the scars to show for it; it's not a good idea to get them so highly aroused in a public place especially if she's ignoring distractions/commands.

I wish I had a garden. I was thinking what if I tie a strong rope with a tie from a strong branch so no damage is done to the tree and pups can have fun but in a controlled way. She will still attract lots of attention though but she always does . Opinions?
