You tested positive to HIV

i think i posted something similar ages ago... I'm thinking about watching the dallas buyers club it's about HIV if you didn't know already...


how would you be like if you just found out you had HIV?

Ok probably as its much easier to control these days, and just cause you have HIV doesnt mean you develop full blown aids

I have to get tested every two years for work. I had an ex who was positive and when I was single I used to stress the results

More scared than mad. I didn't know I was in the clear for 6 months. That was around 15 years ago and she is still doing okay. Lots of pills and a strict schedule to keep but otherwise fine

i was watching something i think they said there 100,000 people who got HIV in the uk but do not they got it!!

  so my first date will be always giving blood before qanythign happen i give blood all the time so i don't have HIV

of course you would be but i would still be mad! yea the med are a lot better now but life cant be the same again if you got it

It can take up to 6 months after infection to test positive and most people don't get tested so they don't know until they start getting sick

yea i know but if you think you have slept with someone with HIV you can get a drug to stop you getting it but you have to take it 24 afters you slept wit that person.. i think i'm sure i watch something about it before i could be wrong

I haven't heard of that. I know there are drugs you can take that reduce the odds of infection but not 100% safe

it could be that i'm not 100% sure what it was i know if you think yo may of slept with some one with HIV or been rape you get offeredd drugs just in case

I work with sexual assault victims as an advocate and they are offered drugs but still have to get tested for 6 months. I also had a couple of scares working as a lifeguard and EMT.

i'm not 100% clue up it something i just listen to on tv while on forum that i didn't fully listen too
