Poor Zeus : Fur and weight question Empty Poor Zeus : Fur and weight question

Post by KMDT Tue Jul 15 2014, 14:07

He was limping on-off for few months so we decided to see vet today. He have fracture on his pinkie toe and vet suggested to not to run/play for 4 to 6 weeks. It is shame because best season to go out and running at the same time we should have gone to see vet sooner…poor Zeus…

Few other things

1) Fur : Zeus is changing his fur for weeks and there are lots of hair…is this normal? I though Staffy is the type of bread not changing much hair.
2) Weight : Zeus was 19kg few months ago and now he is down to 17kg. He is slim but good build. I don’t think we are under feeding him right now but we under fed him during puppy time which he needed most. (Didn’t realise we should have fed him more than we did)  We are giving 500g a day or bit more now. (He is in raw food diet for last 4 months) According to the guidance we are feeding him right amount but a bit worry about 2kg lost. Should we give him more for while?

Appriciate any advice.

My Flo sheds Fur all the time but it doesn't really amount to a whole lot.

Does Zeus look thin ?.. If not then I would think you've got it about right. To be sure ask your vet next time you visit.

Oh poor baby! Hope it heals ASAP. Poor Zeus : Fur and weight question 3198918699 I never weigh food but go off how Darcy looks. If you think he could gain a few pounds feed him a little more, Darcy is only small 12" to the shoulder and weighs 17kg and looks lean but not underweight Smile
