What do you feed your pup ?

hi i was wondering what you all feed your pup on ? I ended up choosing Eden small kibble as it is grain free and uses human grade meat. I have brought all three varieties and she seem to like them, I do however occasionally mix it with a bit of wet or other meat or bits of cheese just to make it more interesting for Tia. She is doing well on it seem healthy, her coat is soft and shiny.. the downside is the poop can smell a bit strong but are well formed & she is still going 3 to 5 times a day though .

I've been feeding "Proplan" food for puppies, 'cause my breeder used to feed my puppy's mom and my puppy this type of food. I will start other food when my dog will reach 1 year

The breeder had Theia on iams but we stared to change almost straight away to JWB , the fish variety. At 11 weeks she gets 260g over 3 meals and I've never seen her leave a kibble yet, and for the last 3 days these have been dry. She hasn't had a single scrap of human food as we think by giving our last dog scraps we caused feeding issues.

Darcy is raw fed but when she was kibble fed she had Arden grange and Simpsons. Both fish based grain free, I used to add some sardines in oil or tomato or a fresh raw egg to keep things interesting

When we adopted Rocky (at 9 months old) he was on Burgess Sensitive we then changed to James Welbeloved. He is now on Barking Heads Fat Dog Slim, not that is fat but we like to keep an eye on his waisteline.

Skye is in the acana 60/20/20 puppy food but I was actually thinking about going for Eden next

Millie is fed on moorlands, 100g twice a day

Loki is on Burns, we tried JWB but he really didn't get on with it, he eats it like he's never eaten before!!!

sounds like we all like what we use , the last few days Tia hasnt eaten much at all in this heat ..

When i got my pup i fed him Science Plan (as i got a bag free from the vet and he loved it). I've since switched him to Arden Grange puppy and he gets the odd bit of grated cheese/egg/chicken/dried liver mixed through it but i'm considering switching him to raw diet at around 6 months.

Best advice i've read is look at the ingredients/composition of what you're giving your dog as the first one should be meat/fish etc as this will be the main ingredient. Try to avoid brands that have anything other than that for the main ingredient

hi Bee yes ours is 80/20/00 i was thinking raw to but a little later on when i understand it a bit more making sure i can give her all that she needs .

Rocky has JWB Junior. I always mix in some Chicken/Sausage/Ham as he has always been fussy. He likes his scrambled egg in the morning as well.

We feed Lula Harringtons and her bowl left down all day she does get a lot of things as well

I've been thinking of trying Harringtons how much is it for a bag??

2kg and its £3.50 but they do a 15kg bag for £23

do you all check the kibble has no cereals and added flavors etc in the kibble ? I was a hawk lol when i looked for a good quality one for Tia. Eden 80/20/00 uses human grade meat and has no cereals in it at all . I am still looking into Raw but finding out about how much and where to start etc really daunting atm ( im a veggie)

Eden is an excellent food as kibbles go. But the best of dried foods contain fillers which your dog can't fully digest, thus the volume of poo. I raised Bacchus on Eden and he thrived, but we experienced the same problems as you. I switched to raw ( Natural Instinct) 8 months ago and the poos are much smaller, much firmer and the real bonus.....the bum burps barely smell at all and they could previously melt iron bars  . 

Hi I'm new to this and just need a bit of advice I have 9 month old female staff I feed twice a day on beta puppy and chicken an tripe mince . She weighs 13kgs and is 14.5inches tall is this ok or not ?

I'm not familiar with that food but as for size and weight they all develop at different rates, as long as not too thin or fat you should be ok x

Ok thankyou she is not too thin or fat but her head doesn't seem to be as big as others iv seen around her age I would up load a picture but not sure how to x

Our new pup Milo is fed dry Arden Grange Puppy/Adult chicken food but he doesn't relish it much. I have to stir in some Pedigree Puppy tinned food and then he'll sometimes finish it all. I'm tempted to stir in chicken, cheese, raw egg etc but our vet is very very keen on keeping staffies slim (which is good) but it makes me a bit paranoid. I want him to enjoy his food though...oh the stress lol.
