Barjo car cage
Well after downsizing to the Fiesta Ledger was a proper Houdini with the shop bought dog guards, had a Barjo one in my old car and couldn't fault it so looked into it for my new one.
Figured a cage was a better way to go not much more than a separate dog guard and tail gate guard and means I can leave him in the car with the boot open for short period at agility shows when I have to walk the course etc so contacted Barjo. They sent their people to a local ford dealer to measure up and less than 6 weeks later I had my cage delivered
Delivered in two huge boxes i was a little worried it would be too big for my little car, Set it up in the house first and it still looked really big
Still it was very simple to assemble in the car (also has an emergency door on the back so if you are in a crash and can't open the boot you can release via the back seats and comes with stickers to notify emergency services)
And as you can see it is perfect and uses all available boot space even if Ledger isn't impressed that he cant escape to the front of the car now
No it wasn't cheap but the quality is excellent and figured at least with a cage I can use it if/when I change the car and can always be used as a house crate

Re: Barjo car cage
Looks great, would consider one if we had a larger car, it probably wouldn't fit in Fifi the Fiat 500

Re: Barjo car cage
They are custom made Kathy. They had no plan for a fiesta before I ordered they went to their local dealer and measured up the boot space or I think they do a bit of a deal if you live close and take your car to get measured up for them to make a template for future orders

Looks great! I like the fact you can leave him secure but with the boot open at your shows
