Tip is on her first heat.

She is not a happy camper at all. She has become very irritable and clingy. We keeping her indoors away from our unneutered GSD . She is on her lead for toilet breaks and walking is turning into a nightmare.

Tip can't be let off lead on walks as she has a high prey drive so I exercise her on a long lead.its frustrating to watch her in so much discomfort. When this heat passed I'm having her spayed. Though I was hoping on waiting till she matured before having her spayed. How long does the heat last.

Season last 21/28 days 28 to be safe poor tip, they must wonder what's going on! Xx

She keeps trying to lick and bite herself and don't settle at all. She is not a happy girl at all hayley. And we been trailed twice by dogs but I chased them off. Should I susoend walks till heat has passed?

I think she's probably go stir crazy if you suspended walks Hun, perhaps walking at quieter times so's to avoid other dogs xx

We reached the I'm a tart stage of the heat and we just came back from our walk. She is sitting in front of the door whining at our GSD male. She is driving me insane. Should I add another walk to our routine? She is not too happy as when I let her outside now its on the lead. Does each stage last exactly a week? Taking her to someone else's house or having her kenneled till her season ends is not viabe so I'm just keeping her indoors.
