cross?

Hi, i was told dillon is a cross because the inside of his mouth is brown & pink and apparently it should be all brown. This is a load of rubbish surely?!

I have got no idea, someone will be along soon who can help.
Looking at your picture Dillon looks perfect

Just grabbed a reluctant volunteer ie Bodhi his mouth is pink and the brownish darker colour and he's def not a cross. I'd say what a load of rubbish.

Lol! That is complete rubbish. It is all down to his pigmentation, pink skin comes with white hair, most other colours have black skin underneath them (eg. brindle, blue, blacks). My girls have black and pinks skin inside their mouths and I bred them myself so I know their parentage back to the 1950's!

The pigment in any dog has nothing to do with whether it's a cross breed or a pedigree! Dillon's every inch a stafford!

Thanx everyone, i was 99.9% sure it was load of rubbish. Its not first time dillon has been called a cross, last time he was 2 big to be full Stafford! A man who breeds them who'd stopped to fuss him said it was good to see a Staffy that had been crossed. That must be it people are used to pseeing them crossed that they dont know what a full pedigree looks like! The man that said about dillon's mouth being wrong has got 4 staffies, i'd have thought he'd know more?!

Apparently now Bruno got bowed leggs, a woman walking 2 terrier things said to me this morning ooo aren't his legs get long and bowed ? I thought what the hell do you know ? I said he is all out of portion at the moment so that may make his legs look longer than they really are, I said he's only puppy and is growing.

Sometime I feel like making a leaflet and hand them out to people who really haven't got a clue what a proper stafford look like

Some people who know nothing about staffys or dogs say the strangest things .. don't they !!

Just checked out my 2 mouths and they are mainly black inside with little bits of pink but they are both black coated so would expect them to be a little bit more darker
