Lucy has a wee when son- in- law come to home

Hi,
I'm not really worried; but just to ease my mind has anyone else had this happen..
Every time my son-in-law meets our Lucy she wets on the floor.
I think its because he play fights with her and has her running around his legs or chasing each other around the garden.
Is she thinking "oh" goody, goody its play time again and gets that exited that she wets?
Her tail is always wagging when meeting him- she is 5 months old.

I think it's probably just over-excitement. Alfie is always having accidents when he gets over-excited, he's just under 5 months. We just try to take him out a few minutes before we have visitors to make sure he's got an empty bladder when they arrive lol! Xx

Does she only do this when playing/meeting your Son In Law ?

If she does it other times she may have a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) then a visit to the vet would be in order, if it's only when she sees him then probably just excitment at seeing her playmate.

Darcy does this too with excitement mainly with men so I get all men to ignore darcy until she's settled then she's ok

Our gabby 15weeks old does this when we have visitors,she gets very excited.

Lucy does it only when seeing son-in-law, she jumps up at him as though she is on a coiled spring, and then he shouts and laughs which makes her go all... wappy!

Taking her to my daughters home is ok until Steven comes in - then she pees on their rug. She is not told off; because she isn't aware that she has wet, and besides who is the grown up here  

Both mine do it when ppl come in or we meet ppl out in street
Bailey is nearly 7 months and Millie is 4 1/2 lol

Think it a staffie thing, spud has done it twice this week when he's met ppl, and my other staffie Ellie done it when she was younger, but my bosses still does it you have keep your feet clear when rubbing him incase he pees on you :L

In my experience, bitches are more liable to wet through excitement (or fear, although this is obviously not the case here) than dogs.

She's a baby yet and not in full control of her bladder so don't scold her (I'm sure you don't) and just mop up. She'll improve as she matures!

Chloe 'fell in love' with a Dalmatian at Pets at Home last week and did a huge pee right near the toy section - yep it's just excitement!

As this is the only time it occurs its from excitement. She should devolp full bladder control at 6 months or so. It may still happen but it should decrease.

There are a few reasons for urinating when greeting someone and like the others say it sounds like excitement that goes beyond controlling the bladder. She will grow out of it but bear in mind in some rare cases by continuing to fuss you can actually reinforce it.

Hi everyone, Sasha was the worst for excited weeing. She just loves people so much lol, we found that if we either take her for a ling walk or give her a toilet break outside before visitors come round it helps. Now that she is a bit older she hardly ever does it now anyway !!!!

Thank you, I think I will have to have words with son-in-law to make sure that he calms it down a little or at least go outside to play ... his is 45  

About time he learnt to play calmly then I'd say get him to ignore her for first 5/10 mins until she's calmer xx
