ok so Thistle is going through the teenage stage, what a bloody nightmare, she's jumping and nipping again, so I'm following the same protocol as before, ignoring, well trying, she's a very big staffy, constantly wants my attention of which she gets in abundance, now chewing everything in sight, and barking for attention, I ignore the barking so she will chew something she shouldn't, she is usually fine left for a few hours, with a kong and all her toys, 4 hours max, but now she has started chewing the rugs and the furniture, sooooooooooo, do I ignore all the bad behaviour, if I say NO when she jumps up she just gets more excited, if I verbally tell her off for the chewing, she thinks it's a game, she randomly poos in the living room at night, I follow the same bedtime routine, I ignore the poo thing, she has a crate to sleep in but I don't lock it, and she has the run of the downstairs at a loss what to do really, do I ignore or do I seek help from Pyschologist .....for her not me :-)

Got to shadow Kathy's questions! Very important Smile Some dogs are stimulated by vocal reprimands so could help further with this once we know her general routine and what motivates her Smile

Forgot to add that info, seems like a standard response; loads of exercise, james well beloved, she gets everything she needs and more, that's why I'm confused and at a loss, because as far as I'm concerned all her needs are met, she really wants a lot of attention, she gets mental and physical and emotional stimulation. Have thought it might be that she's pre seasonal (pre mentstrual)
