Poor Mia Empty Poor Mia

Post by debs0109 Sun Oct 27 2013, 15:03

Went on a walk this morning before the storm arrives. Was only walking for about 10 mins and poor Mia has done something to her front leg. Was yelping loads Crying or Very sad  Luckily hubby was with me as we had to carry her back to the car as she refused to walk . Couldn't see anything obvious except her dew claw was tender to touch. Anyway got her home and settled her on the settee, was debating whether to ring the vets, anyway Mia fell asleep for about an hour while I sat next to her giving some TLC. When she woke up she didn't even have a limp. Am still going to take her to the vets tomorrow though as I know staffys have a high pain threshold. This is just for my own piece of mind. God only knows what she did!

Are you able to check the pads on Mia's feet, maybe something got inbetween them and caused an irritation ?

Please let us know how you get on at the vets.

Well... The vets had a look at her leg/paw , couldn't see anything obvious so put it down to a twist, probably by putting her leg in a hole when she was running. Just limited exercise for a while, if it swells or bothers her then to take her back. Panic over . Thanks for all your support Smile
