RIP Buster

My beautiful boy Buster died in my arms on Tuesday night 23/10/2013 after a short but vain fight with the dreaded C. He would have turned 12 in February. A week ago he was still chasing his friend Rags around but suddenly, last Saturday he suddenly became very lethargic and went off his food. I booked him in to the vets for Wednesday when I had a day off but on Tuesday he couldn't move and over the course of the day, deteriorated. At 19h45 he lifted his head into my lap and peacefully passed away. I am absolutely devastated and Rags, his constant companion for the past 2 years, is confused and very clingy.
He touched the hearts of everyone who met him and he will be missed by his family and friends, especially Rags.
Run free Buster. You were very special.

Oh Rory So sorry for your loss , I know its a time that will come to us all sooner or later but its something that has crossed my mind and just gives me a really heavy heart

I'm sorry to hear of your loss Rory. You gave Buster many happy years and devastating though it was, it was so lovely for Buster that he could pass over peacefully to Rainbow Bridge in the comfort of your arms.

It will feel terribly raw at the moment, but in time you will be able to remember Buster with smiles and not tears

I lost my Sasha over night 2 years ago , I think it's fair to say I have shed some tears for family members but nothing was compared to loosing my Sasha , my heart goes out to you my friend its never easy massive man hug

Thank you all for your kind words. I know that time is a great healer. I am thankful for every precious day I was priveleged to have spent with my friend. It is heartbreaking to watch Rags looking for his friend or howling when I leave for work. Anyone who says dogs don't grieve should spend time with Rags. Once again, thank you all for your kind words.
