I'd have one of each, although to be honest I would personally wait for another 6 months to a year before introducing another dog to Blade.

However, if you feel you can cope, then go for it!

As I said, it's just my own personal preference, not advice! With the dog I have I'd have had a devil of a job coping with another pup when Dempsey was only about 8 or 9 months old.

That's why I said that if you feel you can cope, then go for it!

I personally would get a female staff, at the age Blade is he will start to mature sexually very soon and there will be loads of testosterone flying around. If you get a boy, who will be significantly smaller and younger, you may find Blade starts to bully him and you could have problems when the other one reaches sexual maturity. However if you are having Blade and the puppy neutered then I shouldn't worry too much, choose whichever you would prefer.

I'm one of those crazy people who have two nutty girls together so I can assure you its can be done. You just need to watch them really carefully and be ready to correct any dominance.

ive chosen a girl but i wanted a male because his a big pup with markings ive not seen on a staffie before has tan black with white socks. there is mixed sayings about what sex to get. i could see two males fighting to be top dog though and i dont want that, so i think its going to be the female his the picture naming her zena

It's probably because tan isn't desirable according to the breed standard.
She looks lovely though and Kaiser is gorg too. Big Grin

I think they're pretty rare. Black and tan is not one of the standard colors, so I think it's probably a newer color. They are gorgeous dogs, though!!

Haha, that's the hyena noise! Saxon's is more whimpery, but I guess a lot of Staffords do it!

I don't know what you mean by bully vs terrier, though.
