Barking- it's new to us.

Hi all.
Some of you might remember that we moved back to Poland few months ago. Debo settled in very well,made new friends. But there is new thing. I try to be short.
We experience it for a month or so. It happens only late at night, when my OH comes back from work around 11pm. When Debo hears keys in door ,he jumps off the sofa and run to the door barking like mad. We live in the block so my neighbors don't like it. We really want to stop that, because my OH changing to night shifts and I really don't want my dog to wakes everyone at 2am.
How shell we handel it? I know I'm doing it wrong at the moment , I just run after him trying to shush him.

sorry got no idea as Tommy scares the ***t out of us at 3am when he hears a pin drop and go nuts , fortunately we never get complaints

Lucky you Dave. So far no complaints but the walls are very thin in Poland ( and have ears  )
