To be honest it's an average competition Steve. In comparison to the English Premier League, it just doesn't compete. I don't watch the local competition, I watch EPL because the brand is better, more goals, best players in the world etc.

The Melbourne Victory v Liverpool at the MCG had 90 thousand something fans and 90% of them were Liverpool fans.......what does that tell you about the support for the local team? Also the coverage we get down here for the EPL games is fantastic, every game is live in HD.

what is the avg gates at games do you know. i prefer to watch lower league football it how it used to be back in the day before all the money come into the game

10-15K for the two Melbourne based clubs. For the other states in Aus, similar numbers I think.

Most of the stadiums used in Aus are AFL/Rugby venues which cater for 50k+ capacity.
