Introducing Wrigley! (Warning lots of pics)

Wrigley is our new puppy, also known as the lounge lizard when the wood stove is on. He loves life on the farm but also loves heading to the beach on the weekends!

Yay, people who actually like seeing pics of my pooch! Well, I love taking photos so I imagine you'll all get sick of them by the time he reaches adult LOL

Well, it's been awhile...things got hectic, weather was blah, but summer is upon us and the beach walks are up to 3 days per week.  Wrig is getting big now, really filling out.  And there has been a new development, "Houston, We Have Swimming!" or at least it's a beginning....he started at the beach, but the farm dams work just as well apparently.  He is struggling a bit with the whole keeping his head above water, soon as water gets in an ear, he abandons stick, doesn't help that he's lounging at the stick which increases the momentum towards underwater!

Personality wise, he is growing up to be quite a sweetheart.  Loves cuddles on the couch. Occasionally he chews something he shouldn't but if he has, as soon as I get home from work he acts very guilty.  He definately knows when he's been naughty.  I just show him the object and say no gently and that is enough, half the time I just hold it up and look at him...he is very sensitive. We have to be very careful with any negative feedback. But he is also a real charmer, and sometimes the intelligence he displays in certain situations really surprises and impresses me.  I am so happy with him, he is turning out to be a really great dog.  He's got the basic tricks learned but is a bit stubborn to perform unless the treat is really good.  Doesn't have the "eager to please" gene, it's almost as if the tricks are beneath him and a bit embarrassing.  Can't say I blame him.  He's genteel! LOL We are working on his craziness with other people and other dogs. Each new person and / or dog is his new BEST friend. He just loves EVERYONE! Arg. This summer at the beach is going to be interesting...surely he'll get bored.......ha, not likely! Our neighbor at the beach has a staffy so he tries to sneak over there all the time...he's slowly getting better about that, and has learnt that he loses privilege (aka back on the lead) if he does a runner over to his bestest mate Duke without permission!

He is an absolute stunner, you clearly love him very very much and is turning out to be a real best friend for you. They are cheeky little monkeys and super intelligent. He looks like a staffie to me but maybe others will come along and give their thoughts.  Many more photos please can't get enough of him, he's lovely
