Nettle stings Empty Nettle stings

Just wondered how long nettle stings would take to show on a staffy?

Took Knox for a run at lunch time and we went a different way but I had to go through a small clump of nettles. I've stung my legs and Knox followed me through.

I checked him when I got him and he didn't show signs of being in pain and there were no lumps but I'm worried when I get home I might find him in pain or lumps everywhere.

Anyone know how long nettle stings take to show as mine showed up pretty much straight away Sad

Should be the same time roughly, although could take a bit longer! Bailey got them before and they never bothered him.

Just hoping I don't go home to find he's had a reaction Sad

He seemed fine when I left him and was with him a good 15 minutes after he'd run through them

Should be the same. Not a Staff but our Boxer Cassie got stung by nettles (along with me and my brother) and they showed up more or less the same time as ours. I don't think they'll bother him much, maybe they didn't get him properly?

Ledger went nose first into some nettles the other day and I was waiting for a reaction but he didn't seem to get one only experience I'd had previously was our first dog as a 6-8wk pup she blew up like a balloon immediately.

Vinnie is always peeing against nettles and wading through them, no effect at all sure it will be fine. Big Grin

If frankie stings his paws he comes home and immediately runs round like a loon digging at the rug and at his bed, like he's frantically nesting. He can be a bit of a drama queen though. Now if he funds himself amongst nettles he just stands there waiting to be carried away from them! I wouldn't worry too much, as already said its normally an immediate reaction Smile

since he had fur he may not have been stung at all. I would however give his paws a wipe with water
