Hi from Staffaholic

Hi Everyone,

I happened upon this site from You Tube. So far it looks like a great place for everything 'Stafford' related.

I have had Staffords for most of my life, the majority of them being Rescue dogs. I work with two rescue organisations here in Australia.

Sadly our pounds are absolutely full of Bull Breeds, it's heartbreaking, for every one we rehome and/or rehabilitate, at least 10 to 20 are put down each week.

Here's my Rescue Boy 'Jacka'. We saved him with literally hours to go before he was euthanized. He is obviously well breed and a real clown, I have actually won quite a few photographic challenges on another photography site with this boy. When we pulled him from the pound, he had testicular cancer, both eyes severely ulcerated and was just plain miserable, but look at him now.........



Then I have 'Fat Flea' who is our Pack Alpha, she has seen many rescues come and go. A great little mother to all, but doesn't take an ounce of aggro from anyone. Still gorgeous as an oldie.



And finally, my Little 'Black Beauty' Lily Bet, left in a bucket outside a pet store, she was the 'runt' of the litter. What a beauty she turned out to be.




So that's 'My Pack' as they are fondly known everywhere around here. We go to most pet charity days all dressed up in our rescue gear to promote how wonderful this breed can be when loved and cared for.

Oh Yes these two are inseparable. They truly look like 'Mr and Mrs Brindle'. I have some pics of them together and they just look 'right' together. Poor little 'Lily Bet' gets a tad jealous sometimes. I've been on at my hubby that we need to make our pack 4 again. We lost our other old boy, who had been used as a bait dog 2 years ago. He had a lovely life from the moment he came to us and lived to 17.5 years. Even though we acclimated him to the pack, he was never able to fully enjoy any form of outside socialisation such was his early 'conditioning' as a bait dog.
