Harlem! :((

Few questions. My little boy Harlem. Is really into chewing acorns and sticks. He usually chews em and swallows em he just started this behavior last night? Also he chewed off a piece of his chew toy and swallowed it. Should I be worried? His behavior is fine? He pooped well this morning.

Does he know 'leave it' and 'drop it' yet? If not, I'd work on teaching him those commands so he listens to them perfectly, that way he'll drop anything you don't want him to have. As for the chew toy, he should be OK but just keep an eye on him and watch his behaviour, etc.

Logan was a problem pup for swallowing things he shouldn't as a pup. Thankfully he just grew out of it. As Tara says, teach the leave it command and it'll help you.

Yes I am in the process of teaching him. I'm just more worried about him getting sick. Do y'all think he'll be fine he swallow a little no bigger than the tip of ur thumb.

If he needs to he'll throw it up. Just make sure he has plenty of water. Logan was awful for doing it, but as long as it's nothing sharp etc and nothing overly big it'll be ok.

Logan's favourite was stones...Nightmare.

I wouldn't let him chew sticks as they hard hurt him internally if swallowed
