wonder what different countries are thinking

The press anywhere is pretty negative, but the spotlight has been on SA lately what with the mining incidence; taxi drivers and of course Oscar Pistorius. Just wondering what people around the world have thought? I have family in the UK who seem to think the same way we are over here.

Its sad the news coming out of SA lately but when did we last hear good news out of any other country? Everyone knows nice doesn't sell papers, if we believed all the news the uk is worse than any other country at the moment

Same as Ali, really. If you judge a country based on the media alone, you'd think it's a horrible country. But that's because nice news isn't as good, we tend to be drawn to tragedy and bad things, even if we don't like to admit it, as a whole it's true, we prefer the negative side of things. It's a shame it's in the news right now for all the wrong reasons, but it happens. Bad things are happening all the time all over the world.
