Its just getting worse

One of our lovley walks is being turned into a dustbin, I Wrote to the council forestry dept today and will keep doing so until they clean the place up. Its the kids at night drinking and just chucking their rubbish anywhere they see fit. Makes my blood boil. We have Rabbits, foxes, badgers, ducks and geese, and even the odd deer, but i fear it will all be lost

Have to agree, its one of my pet hates and so unnecessary

In agreement here too, always sad when a few individuals ruin everything for everybody else. Apart from contacting the land owners I'm not sure what else you can do either, which only makes you feel worse

I am taking photos atm too and sending them to my council. The amount of broken glass where I walk is staggering. Children play and ride bikes there too, so it's dangerous for them. I don't know why people do it, surely they are ruining where they live!?

Same here in places. They say there are no jobs for youngsters why dont they gather all these unemployed to clear these places up!! even if paid a minimum wage it would take next to no time!!

Send the pics to the local newspaper too. A mate of mine did that around here a few years ago, they ran a short story, and the council then magically sprang into action.

My latest favourite walk is the same but I tolerate it as its not frequented by a lot of other dogs so

its awfull..................and you do right in what you are doing, i have a small child and you know kids they just pick things up sometimes with out thinking and am like a crazy women shouting 'put that down you dnt know were its been'!!!

kids parks are just getting as bad now.......

we now find broken bottles and rubbish on our local park. According to the council the government dont give councils enough money on their budget to clear rubbish

....and parents don't teach their kids to put rubbish in a bin.

That's insane! It doesn't take anything special to clean the place up. Most of the time I find the dog bins aren't even emptied for months. The local paper had a thing about telling the public to photograph anyone not picking up after their dog (I always do), but it's not easy if the bins are already over flowing etc.

I was walking Logan once a few weeks back and a group of rough lads were smashing their bottles under the bridge, it is always dark there and impossible to stear your dog away from the glass. I politely told them to move on and not do it again
