suprised and VERY Proud !!!

My boy actually played with another dog today on his walk !!!

My boy is selective DA (prefers females) and usually when he does get close enough to meet another dog its a bit of a snif and greeting then onwards we walk, well today i was on one side of the road and a lady with her english bull terrior was walking on the other side of the road (going in the same direction) both dogs were constantly looking at each other, spike doing his usuall whinging noise cause he wants to go and say hi and this beautiful girl just silent but staring.

on we walk down the road when suddenly the silent english bull runs across the road (on a long extendable lead) the owner wasnt expecting it hence the lead going out a little bit before she retracted it. obvously like my boy the breed can be strong when they wanna be well nedless to say the owner came dragged behind pasha (the dogs name) and they have a nose to nose meeting.

I say at this point that im unsure how spike will react as he is touch and go on greeting dogs (the trainer said he is rude when introducing himself) well they have a bit of a nose to nose greeting and then spike heads straigh for the but (charming) he obviously likes what he smells cause he stays there for a while. At this point i notice his tail wagging, im happy at seeing this as he rarely does this around other dogs.

THEN he does the bow and play jumps around pasha and i cant help but laugh and smile in shock i have NEVER seen my boy play snd it was a wonderful sight to see !!!

pasha must of taken a liking to spike as she refused to leave spikes side despite being constantly dragged by her owner. they were both looking over their shoulders at each other until they were out of sight. i think spike has a girlfriend !!!!!

just wanted to share my good news, its been a long time in the making but im SOOOO happy !!!

Its great to see them get on with another dog. Katy has a new friend, a 17wk old bulldog. We had 1hrs playtime with him earlier so nice to have something strong enough to play with her

It does give you a good buzz when this happens and no wonder you wanted to share it. I'm sure Spike will give you many more good surprises in the future too.

Its lovely to see dogs playing..me and mat walk izzy and Logan together at the weekends and she barks at him to play and shouts at him when he does..they're comical
