Mikas Operation

HI Just letting you know mika is going for her Operation tomorrow to sort her dislocate knees out finally after waiting a few weeks for appointment .

Hope it all goes well poor little girl feel so sorry for her

Best of luck to Mika. I bet shes been going fruity with you having to try and keep her still! Puppies do not understand that no exercise is good for injuries!

Im sure she will be fine she is fit and strong, and being on one of these forums gives you the chance to ask other people who have had post-op doggies in the past their tips.

yeah i know well she will be cage bound for 4 weeks after tomorrow and that is going to drive her crazy and us . Last week she had the Xrays which she was put asleep for and when we went to pick her up all she doen was cry it was like having her as a 6 week old pup again . She has this thing about being picked up like a baby and sitting on your chest looks like she will be more touchy after the op ..

so sad leaving mika this morning at the vets she knew she was going some were tense as hell shaking crying poor think just waiting for the call from the vet soon .fingers crossed xx

Hope she's not feeling too out of sorts when she comes home. Lots of rest & love to get her back on her feet.

yes cone on her head for next ten days for wound to hell looks like we wont be getting any sleep for a while with her moving around with cone .

Vet said it was not as complicated as he thought so only ten days rest then she has to go for physio for a few months When i spoke to nurse she said she was feeling very sorry for her self off tog et her know .

Poor baby with a cone! At least its not 4 weeks as you initally thought, and its good to hear surgery went well.

Hey, how's Mika today?? How was her first night??

Hi all .

First night didn't go to great was woken up at 2am till4am morphene must had worn off .yesterday she was so good just relaxed all day she is managing quiet well with just 3 legs .she is going to vet tomorrow for check up xx

Arrrr poor thing.
It will be better in the long run, just not nice seeing them unable to run about and cause havoc.
