Post Feeding Walk Advise

It has been pouring with rain all day here and I couldn't get out for Logan's evening walk. I never feed him before walking because of the risk of bloat.

I hadta give up on the walk because of the rain and went ahead and fed him. Naturally, as soon as he finished stuffing his face the rain stopped...

How long should I wait until it's sensible to take him out (if at all)?

I always wait 45 mins after feeding before taking for a walk.

And I wait for 30 mins after walking before feeding.

Having seen a dog die from bloat literally in front of my eyes (not mine), I don't take chances.

I got the above advice from a vet.

With us, timing is exact with work, feed, weather etc, personally, I would leave it a few mins whilst you get ready and get out there! Thats my opinion on it anyway Xx

Just to add ideally yes I would wait a bit, but for times like this its either she goes out or doesn't get walked Xx

i always wait an hour after a walk before feeding

and minimum of an hour before walking but the longer the better
