canny collar problems Empty canny collar problems

Hi, I was one of the lucky winners of the canny collar and I must say it is really good. I can now walk Densil to heel, close beside me which has been a godsend in this icy weather. However, as I am now having to let him have a roam using a training lead (attached to a harness), I have a problem with the collar. I can't do it up at the front with the clips - they are too fiddly and I haven't got the strength to squeeze them open. If I leave the collar on the loop will drag along the floor - so I am having to take it off and then put it back on again for the walk home. This is causing me a problem in that it is getting to my back having to bend over him to do the fastening/unfastening. When I put it on at home I kneel on the floor - but can't do this outside in this weather. Wonder if anybody else has a collar has got any tips/ideas for keeping the loop fastened so I don't have to take it off. confused

What about sewing some Velcro to it so that you can attach the trailing bit to the collar itself? Hope I've made that clear (as mud, probably).

Yes, Velcro would work a treat, I have used it on one of Rockys collars before, that stuff is a God send.
