Ive been looking for a "suitable" boarding kennels for the boys for when we go on hols to cornwall at the end of may and ive finally found one. Ive litterally visited like 20+ i reckon. I wanted a specific one that "knew" staffs and what they were like etc. I wanted my boys in the same kennel but with Kaos's big crate in there as well so they could be separated at night and during the day if there play fighting got to much. Half of the kennels i went to wouldnt let them be in together, 2 of them just said "NO we dont takes staffs" doh and the others i didnt feel gave the dogs the time of day.
Anyway the one ive found is lovely and im sooooo pleased. Its a family run small buisness who own 4 staffs themselves! There kennel is lovely with a sofa and a tv?!? for company lol, and a big grassed outdoor run. They get 3 walks a day on and off lead and with or without other dogs.
We are only going to stay at haven in a caravan and i managed to get a weeks holiday for £170, which i thought was good! By the time both dogs have has kennel cough vac and Ty has has his boosters + boarding fee's their "holiday" amounts to £300?!?! Whats that about lol xx

Good kennels are hard to find! We used a specialist BT kennel when we needed to send Dempsey on his hols - £10 per night for 11 nights! But he got looked after really well, so it was worth it.

I used to look after a womans horses, she owned a kennel, she had a special room with a sofa, proper bed and TV for dogs.
I was looking around for something yesterday and found a kennel in Cornwall that basically have 3 rooms for the dogs, a living room, a bedroom and then an outside area. I thought it was a bit over to top to be honest.
Molly will be coming with us for all holidays as far as I'm concerned, I don't have a passport, so we're confined to the UK pretty much, and most of the time, we go to caravans as they're cheaper, and more places like that allow dogs in certain caravans.

The one I used is in Essex. It's the Bullyview kennels. They're really lovely people & know their dogs. Have a look....http://www.bullyview.com/kennel.html

Moo comes on hol with me but my local vets do a house sitting service where they look after your dog in your home, I think if I had to leave her I would do this, not sure how expensive it is though, and it would only be good if you trust your dog to be left in the house alone!

well we were considering for ages wether or not to take them but i think to be honest it would be to much for the dogs and i wouldnt trust them 100% in the caravan plus we really wanted this holiday to be for the kids this year and not revolving round the dogs for once lol x This one is £23 per night for two medium dogs sharing, a bit pricey but hey hoe! x

Sounds like there holiday is gonna be better than yours lol

It does end up being all about the dog when you take them away, and family time is important, gives you a weeks peace too!
