I take it there's no way she could have been caught?

If not, then I'd keep a sharp eye on her. If seems off at all, even in the slightest, go to the vet. Although she might just be 'late', there is always the chance of Pyometra which can be nasty.

I'm not really much help either, if you are concerned maybe pop her along to the vet, just to put your mind at rest if nothing else.

If you're concerned then speak with the vet to ease your mind , I had Tilly spayed after her 2nd season and they hadn't really got into a good rhythm by then

hi,
ive been looking into it alot more ,
its aparintly as normal for bitches to have a late season as it is for a female human,
bitches can have somthing called a "silent" season where they are in season but there are none of the external signs and its a very light and short season.
taking your bitch out and around a dog to see how she acts , (if she presents her self or not to him ect) . that will tell you if shes in season and if shes not having her aroung a dog can help bring her into season. also other bitches that are in season can help bring a late bitch into season by just beain around them,
im not 100% shure about the info that help bring a bitch into season works or not, but the rest is real , the info came from a online info vet service .
if im wrong please correct my post .
im going to talk to my dogs vet soon anyway just to be shure .

You would be playing with fire if you took your bitch to a dog & she was in season!

yea your right, bring two bitches together when there in season is not a wise move, they are not knows to tolirait other bitches durin the best of times.
in my case i have another staffie that my kye and the other bitch have got on realy great since they were pups , and they play together even when on heat , around 7 mounth ago they were both on heat and playing together , i do understand it can be risky and im alot more carfull when she is around other bitches on heat or not,
i wouldnt recomend anyone to take your bitch to another bitch thats in season to try and bring your dogs season on .
thank you for pointing that out caryll the last thing i want is some one getting hurt or the dog getting hurt becouse of this post .
sorry about my bad spelling im texting to fast lol.

Dogs are not like clockwork in their seasons, same as humans. I'm sure that you know the signs of a season approaching - swelling of vulva, tetchiness around the rear end when touched, excessive marking etc, before the more apparent signs of blood.

If you are absolutely sure that Kye has not been "got at" in the last 8 weeks or so, I wouldn't worry too much, just as Caryll says be aware of the possibility of pyo.

A trip to the vet would be the quickest way of putting your mind at rest.

Let us know how it goes!

A late season would not concern me. And as for Pyo this normally strikes AFTER a season not before one.
