Trouble with wormer. Empty Trouble with wormer.

Bodhi went to the vet Friday was weighed and given a wormer (milbemax) however we were up all last night with him being sick, we stayed with him offered small amounts of water etc. He is now quite lively and seems back to normal no more sick but he was straining to poo and there was a little blood there as well as some plasma type stuff. He has eaten some rice and a little live yoghurt to re line his stomach and as I said now seems ok. Do you think it was just a reaction to the wormer has anyone else had similar experiences worming their puppies? Will be phoning the vet once they open in the morning just to check. xx

Yeh I had the same thing happen but it was more my fault!! I got some tablets from pets at home and sid did all the same things! It's horrid isn't it!! The vet told me to leave it a week or so and they would give me a different tablet which they did and he was fine with that one!! It was a chewable one but can't remember the brand!

Thanks Stevie for reply have felt so worried and helpless. Knew it must be the wormer it's been the only thing he's had different. Horrid things.

Cheers. x

My vet always used to give drontal but have moved to this brand, think it's because it's cheaper. Might return to drontal for his next lot. x

I have had the same thng... my fault as I wrote her weight down wrong.
8.3kg instead of 3.8.... so when i gave her the dose it was to much and she was sick too... poot babies..Sad
stupid mother lol

I gave her heart guard the other day and she was 100% fine. I think it is better to stick with the more $$ brands just to be sure
