Whats my staffy X with???

Hey i went to the vet today (for a checkup on that sore leg of hers) and the vet said that Bella is probably staffy X with something but she didnt know what...
So would any of you guys tell me what you think she might be cross with? Thanks

From the eyes down she looks like a GSD.. but no other markings of one?..

Is GSD german shepherd? because i doubt that because Bella is smaller then an average staffy she weighs about 11kg

Well the breeder told me she was purebred so i just assumed she was. But when i took her to the vet today the vet said "sooo whats she crossed with?" and im like huh.. The vet said she is probably crossed with something but she has no idea what with. All she said is she might have some jack russell because of her markings. But i looked on the internet and Bella looks nothing like the Staffy x jack russells i saw. So i dunno

Well I would be ringing the Breeder and asking what the go is...

I saw the mum and she was quite a large staffy. But not the dad. I was actually going to ring them but the thing is Bella is about 7 months old now and im not sure if i still have the number.

Your In Australia... so if you picked Bella up after 6 weeks she would have been chipped.... and they would have had to have their names on the paper work...

Did you sign paper work to change the council rego etc into your name?
if you did then maybe the local vet/council will have their phone numbers etc.
Or better still... you would know where you went to pick her up??? go know on their door.. I would..

Steve, maybe becuae she has quiet a "triangle" head from top view they may think she is crossed..
Maybe theh vet hasnt seen to many terrier types???

I have to say that to me she looks a staffy. Quite a lightweight one (although at only 7 months you'd expect that), but still a staff.

I think it all comes down to what your perception of a stafford is. Some are smaller than others & may not have the bulk that some have.

If you're worried, I'd contact the breeder & ask to see pics of the father. That may give you a better idea of what she's going to look like in the end.

Of course, if it turns out she's crossed (and I don't really think she is) and you bought her as a purebred then you would be able to sue the breeder for false claims. However, she's a beauty & I'm sure you're happy with her no matter what!

I cant see anything other than staff in her to be honest. At 7 months, she'll still be quite small, she wont start filling out for a few months yet. But I think she is all staffy.

Looks like shes staff, just the more lean terrier type. If shes crossed with anything I would say JRT aswell but think she is a just a more terrier-type staff

Looks like a full staff to me too like said before they come in all diff shapes and sizes

tell your vet that you have been onto experts lol
and you have been told you have a full staff on your hand iv got no problem saying that is 100%staff as said she is a terrier type she looks alot like mine and he is 6 months old

She looks like a staffy to me. My dog Mia is half border collie half JRT( i also have apure bred staffy) and by looking at her u would think she was a mini BC it depends on what dog has the prominent genes as to what the dog looks like, in Mia's case it was her Father, the people we got her from said they didn't know what breed the father was but straight away u could tell it was BC.

Yeah same here with mine.

If the breeder is reputable go to the staffy club in your state or the CCC in your state or look at dogzonline they have the reputable breeders there(it's where i found the breeder of my little guy)and they usually have their own websites where they list both parents so u can see them.

To me she defo looks like a cross in your avatar pic but she doesnt really in the pics you've posted above, just little lol! To be honest unless u have papers then she will almost certainly have been crossed at some point be it grandparents or parents and may have a throwback coming through...?? I dont have papers for mine either. But like has already been said......does it matter anyway? She's your little girl wether shes a pedigree a cross or a mongrol lol! Oh and shes a very sweet little thing! x

100% agree with blaze remember taking mine to the vets and he asked was he crossed with a patterdale wtf.

Well i'v known 8 STB x JRT and i own three so take a look at my photobucket album and see if you find a match. she does seem to have alot of staffy in her but she also reminds me of my Cassie when she was that age

Ok thanks for all the answers guys. Like the main reason the vet said she might have been crossed is because of her patterns, but i have seen heaps of staffys with the same patterns so...

Yes, the paaterns are quite typical of a pied staff.

im sure that some vets dont really know the diffrent some times.....with the bull bread.....

Shes definitely a staff, just some are smaller, kc standards they are said to be small up to 15-16 inches tall up to 15.4kg for females, dont worry shes definitely full

Can't honestly say I can see anything else there, if I had to say I'd say JRT but she's young and vets know a lot less than they really should. I used to help out at my local vets and you'd be very disappointed at just how limited their knowledge and interest can really be. Being members of the Bully clan they tend to put on bulk last so as I said I can't see anything else. btw I had a SBT/JRTx for 181/2 years and each cross looks different to another, Toby looked like a brindle and white JRT on steroids. Staffy body and broad head and narrow muzzle and stumpy tail. Boy the ladies loved him in his natural tux. He loved bunches of daffodils as portaloos.

I have that breed. Its a staffie border collie cross. Mine is Harley a 6 month old male.

Staffies are and have been crossed with Jack Russell Terriers for donkeys years and not accidentally either. I remember reading about them when I had Toby and was at college on the NC in Animal Care. Someone there went ferreting and asked me to come along but I wasn't interested and read about how these two breeds were crossed again to make various versions of crosses of the two. Toby even won a competition in the paper and we got a whopping great photo of him. They said about how he sniffed and snorted and was into everything and a great personality. He 's the one that started me on to Staffy ownership.

Pure staff to me. Milo was 7 months when we had him and I thought he was crossed with a boxer cos he was big footed and gangly and has funny eyes but now hes filling out a bit (almost 2yrs) I'm certain hes all staff.
